Certifications, and what each one actually covers

A logo on a brochure is not a specification. This page lists the documents we hold and the market each one applies to.

Short answer: Our heaters are supplied with CE, CB, SAA, EMC, RoHS, SASO and CCC documentation, produced in an ISO 9001:2015 certified factory. Certificates are issued per model and configuration — tell us the destination market and model, and we return the applicable set with the quotation.

Certificates and declarations

ISO 9001:2015 — Factory quality management system

Process control across design, production and inspection. This is a management-system certificate, not a product certificate — it tells you how the factory is run.

CE — European Union / EEA market access

Electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and materials compliance for the models listed on the declaration. Issued per model and configuration.

CB — IECEE CB scheme

Test reports recognised across participating national certification bodies. Often used to shorten local certification in destination markets.

SAA — Australia and New Zealand

Electrical appliance safety certification required for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

EMC — Electromagnetic compatibility

Emissions and immunity. Relevant where heaters share a supply with controls, audio or lighting equipment.

RoHS — Restricted hazardous substances

Material restrictions on lead, mercury, cadmium and similar substances. A materials declaration rather than a safety certificate.

SASO — Saudi Arabia

Market-access conformity for goods entering Saudi Arabia. Confirm any additional efficiency labelling requirement with your importer.

CCC — China domestic market

Compulsory certification for products sold in the Chinese market. Not required for export-only orders.

Frequently asked questions

Which certifications do JH Heatsup heaters carry?

CE, CB, SAA, EMC, RoHS, SASO and CCC, with ISO 9001:2015 for the factory. Certificates apply to specific models and configurations, so the applicable set is confirmed against your destination market and model at quotation stage.

Can you send the certificates with a quotation?

Yes. Tell us the destination market and the models you are considering, and the relevant certificates, declarations and test reports are included with the quotation rather than sent after the order.

Is the product CE marked for the UK market?

The UK now uses UKCA, and the acceptance rules have changed more than once. We do not claim UKCA coverage; we ask you to confirm the current requirement with your importer so the specification is correct for the destination.

Does a CB report mean the product can be sold anywhere?

No. A CB report is a test report recognised by participating certification bodies; it usually shortens national certification rather than replacing it. Local marking, labelling and plug requirements still apply.

What about IP ratings?

Our infrared and portable ranges carry IPX4, which covers water splashing from any direction. It is not a rating for immersion, pressure washing or sustained sea spray, and it is unrelated to salt corrosion.

Need the document pack for a tender?

Send the market, the models and the tender requirement. We return the certificates, declarations, dimensional drawings and a circuit load schedule in one package.
